Dr. Humaira Afreen graduated (MBBS) in 2003 from Dhaka Medical College (DMC). In 2006, she passed FCPS-P-1in dermatology and in the same year She joined Govt Service, 25th BCS (Health). In 2009, she joined SSMC Mitford Hospital, Dhaka as Registrar (Dermatology) and started her training as a prerequisite for fellowship.

In 2010 she took a Special Foundation training course for BCS (Health) Cadre Officers and held the first (DG award) position. In 2013, she started her fellowship at BSMMU for 1 year.

In January 2015, she passed FCPS. After completing the fellowship, she was promoted and joined as a Junior Consultant at SSMC Mitford Hospital, Dhaka in 2017.

In 2018 she underwent an Intensive training course at S.P. Derma Center, Madurai, India under renowned Dermatologist & Laser Surgeon Dr. Avitus John Raakesh Prasad and completed her fellowship successfully. She was promoted to Assistant Professor and joined SSMC Mitford Hospital in the year 2019 and is still working.

She is serving the Bangladesh Dermatological Society as Social Welfare Secretary. She has presented many scientific papers at different national conferences and also published many articles in different journals.

With extensive experience and fellowship training in Aesthetic Dermatology & Laser, Dr Humaira actively contributes to advancements in dermatological practices through research and professional affiliations Dr Humaira’s empathetic approach fosters open discussions about skin and intimate health concerns instilling confidence and well-being in her patients. Her field of interest in acne scar management, chemical peeling, carbon peel laser, laser for hair removal, PRP for Scalp, and Face.
